Huxley and Orwell

I thought the article was really creative and interesting. The argument the article is making, mostly Huxley’s argument, relates a lot to our class discussions. About how what we love is killing us. And I think the presentation of the argument being a webcomic was a good idea because the pictures allowed us to see exactly what was being talked about. Also with a comic, people will go “ooo look! A comic! It’s probably funny so I want to read it!” I think the pictures really added to the argument because every picture shows people sitting on their asses submerged in technology. If a different type of presentation was used I think I would have been less likely to like it. Just a plain article with no pictures would have boring.
I think the Orwell side makes the argument stronger. It sort of shows how bad we have gotten compared to years ago. We used to fight for stuff. Like the truth, or certain rights. And now we are too preoccupied with technology to even think about fighting for anything like that. Unless something like censoring the internet comes up. Then just because it’s the internet we need to do something. But I don’t think most people would lift a finger for anything else.
